Maybe we just ordered the wrong things to have the great experience all the other reviewers from other sites have mentioned. a serious disappointment when it came to a quality flavorful meal.
Perhaps the recipes have been lost or something because it was. I am not sure if it was just an off night.

out of a TV dinner from Walmart, the chicken was watery and the rice tasted like plastic, when I told them the manager was an old lady and she started to ARGUE with us and tell us as to why it wasn’t as bad as we were saying it was! We did not want to pay for food that we were unhappy with the food, Then she said she could not take the meal off of the ticket and she only gave us a 20% discount !! Like are you serious !? And she was really rude and sarcastic when we told her we were not going to pay for that plate of disgusting food! Never in my life have I endured such horrible customer service as I have experienced today at this establishment! They should be ashamed of themselves for such horrific customer service, especially in how they treat America’s Veterans. But this is the most HORRIBLE MEXICAN food I’ve ever had! Serivce was horrible, they took forever to come out, The enchiladas taste like they came. If I can give zero stars I would ! To start off we are two Active Duty Army soldiers. You're better off going anywhere else in Joplin for Mexican or just next door at Vallarta, which is quite good. The staff and waitress was nice and helpful and the food came out in a decent time, although it was a bit long for the place being so empty. The service was pretty good no complaints there. She liked the shredded beef, but thought the shredded chicken tasted like canned chicken. The seasoning was almost nonexistent, almost like they just used pepper and that was it. Both the chicken and steak was on the border of being pretty dry. Ribs were pretty dry with the exception of one juicy bite, but the ribs were fairly bland even with the mediocre bbq sauce. I got the fajita combo which has steak and chicken and Mexican bbq pork ribs. The queso was the best part, it has meat and is not your typical cheese sauce from a mexican restaurant. It is very heavy with the tomatoes to the point where it is very similar to ketchup with cilantro in it. Most store bought tortilla chips would be better than theirs. The chips, salsa, and queso were all barely mediocre. My girlfriend and I came here at 8pm on a Tuesday and it was fairly empty with lots of staff. Of this- the last few years that we have been in casa- it’s been TERRIBLE/AWFUL! It will be awhile before we go back- IF EVER!!! More Hell, the queso dip on the menu is $3.95! That just blows my mind. BUT FAILED TO MENTION that the upcharge WAS $3!!!!!!!!!!! If that is what they charge for that up charge- sure, whatever, that’s high- but would of been nice to know that before we got the ticket. She did tell us that it was a upcharge for that. Then we got the ticket- my husband asked for queso on his tamales instead of red sauce.
So I ate a few bites and then ask for a box. I ALWAYS order a chicken Chimichanga- she brought me a beef chimichanga- and then argued with me saying that I ordered beef- NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I ORDERED BEEF!!!!!!!! Took another 15 mins to get my replacement- by the time that I got my food- my family was done eating. When we got our food- my order was wrong. over 30 mins!!! And remind you, it’s late- so it’s not dinner rush time or anything. Got cheese and guac dip too- took over 7mins for that to come to table- then TOOK FOREVER to get our food. got seated-took another 5 mins to get our server Maribel- over to greet us to get our drinks- got our drinks- then took our order. and it was 9pm at night- so they weren’t busy or anything. But tonight was terrible!!! We waiting over 5. We decided to have a late family dinner- decided to head to Casa. Writing this as we r pulling away from the parking lot.
